East Kilbride Rotary Club
One problem that has come to the fore this Rotary year has been  finding venues for our meetings since The Lost Lamb in Auldhouse was sold.
Meetings have been held at The Salmon Leap, Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Ramada Hotel. The Ramada Hotel in the town centre has been chosen for our meetings.

The annual Roddy and Kath's garden party took place this year on 3rd August. The garden party as well as being a good excuse for an informal get-together, also raises funds for a lesser known Rotary charity. Around £500 was raised

Rotarian Ron James makes a Cheque Presentation to EK Hangout Club. Half of the money, £450, from the quiz night was raised to support a local voluntary group "EK Hangout club". The only club in East Kilbride for young adults aged 18-25 with disabilities

Once again East Kilbride Rotary Club organised the Poppy Scotland appeal at the Major Super markets in East Kilbride with members of the club and members of the general public taking part. Roddy and Kath Shanks together put everything in place to enable another successful exercise to be completed  over a period of two weeks prior to Remembrance day the amount collected came to £21,605.21 We are very aware of the generosity of the shoppers when they see one of our volunteers with the poppy buckets.

On the 17th of March 2020 the club board made the decision that there would be no more club meetings on a Friday until further notice as a result of the World Pandemic Coronavirus  During the month of April it was decided to set up a Zoom link  for visul club meetings this has been reasonably succesful with a board meeting being part of one of these meetings.
